The SI at Bongaon Police Station, Asim Pal, said the identity of the people involved was revealed through a social media post put up by them.
The accused have allegedly confessed that besides pasting the flag, they planned to write, “Hindustan Murdabad” and “Pakistan Zindabad” as an attempt to create communal disturbance in the area.
