Keeping up with the times, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is looking at tweaking its training, with more emphasis on soft skills, social skills and intellectual enhancement, for its workers, sources said, adding that overall period of training could also be reduced.

At present, RSS training, which it calls as Officers Training Camps (OTC), or Sangh Shiksha Varg, is held in three phase spanning 60 days, with last phase being held at its Nagpur headquarters.

Now, the proposal is to divide the training into four phases – Sangh Parichya Varg (two days), Prathmik Varg (seven days), Sangh Karyakarta Vikas Varg 1 (15 days) and Sangh Karyakarta Vikas Vargh 2 (15 days), sources said, adding the training will focus on practical learning.
