Suresh Chavhanke Spreads ‘Naukarshahi Jihad’ Conspiracy and Anti-Muslim Rhetoric at Hindu New Year Event

Location: Chandani Chowk, Delhi

At a Hindu New Year celebration, far-right news anchor and Sudarshan News editor Suresh Chavhanke targeted Muslims, used anti-Muslim dog whistles, and spread conspiracies about education, governance, and demographics.

He accused UPSC of favoring Muslims by including Urdu subjects and claimed many Muslims had “infiltrated” the civil services. Spreading the “Naukarshahi Jihad” conspiracy, he referred to Muslim students as “Jamia ke Jihadi.”

He targeted Ramadan and declared that Islam is “not a religion.” He fear mongered about Hindu students offering namaz in schools and spread the “love jihad” conspiracy. Warning of demographic change, he claimed an “Aurangzeb or Khilji” would soon become Delhi’s Chief Minister and insisted that rising Muslim populations would make women unsafe. He further claimed Hindus would become a minority, using fear to push communal narratives.
