Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), March 13, 2026: Three individuals linked to the right-wing outfit Hindu Raksha Dal were arrested on Thursday evening for allegedly spray-painting inflammatory communal slogans on a wall along the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway in the Biharigarh area.

The accused, identified as Sulekha, Sharda (both women), and Manav Kendra—all residents of Dehradun and aged between 25 and 30—wrote messages such as “Ye sadak Musalmano ke liye nahi hai” (This road is not for Muslims).

A video of the act, which surfaced on social media on February 26, showed people defacing a sound barrier with spray paint while claiming responsibility on behalf of the group.

The arrests followed a complaint lodged by a National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) employee at Biharigarh police station, prompting action to prevent potential breach of peace and rioting.

Police registered an FIR against the individuals under charges including conspiracy to incite riots.
