At the Vishwa Hindu Parishad – Bajrang Dal Shaurya Sanchalan event, Bajrang Dal Konkan Province co-convener Gautam Ravariya fearmongered about Rohingya and Bangladeshi Muslims living among Hindus, urged people to monitor minorities, and used the lynching of a Hindu man in Bangladesh to portray Indian Muslims as violent radicals, declaring that “Bajrang Dal will show these vidharmis their place.”
He demonised minorities, claimed only the Bajrang Dal could protect Hindu culture and women, referred to Christians as “termites”, called Muslims “cut-pieces”, and spread the conspiracies of “love jihad” and “land jihad”.
At the same event, senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Mohan Salekar fearmongered about the Muslim population, alleged the existence of “mini-Pakistans” in Maharashtra, demonised Muslims for not singing “Vande Mataram”, linked this to a “jihadi and terrorist mentality”, and spread false claims about Muslims calling for excessive childbirth. He claimed all Muslim men share the same violent beliefs and cited China’s treatment of Uyghurs as a model, thereby promoting violence against Muslims.
