Far-right organisations held a meeting to discuss their plan of action, with VHP-Bajrang Dal leader Anuj Walia falsely claiming that the local mosque was built to spread “Islamic jihad” and disturb peace. He announced a larger protest against “illegal structures,” “illegal religious activities,” and “love jihad” aimed at changing local demographics. He also alleged that “ghuspetiye”(illegal infiltrators) rent houses to engage in “love jihad,” traffic local women and sell them abroad, commit rapes, and force them to marry while blackmailing them with videos.
