A Grassroots Movement with a National Footprint
Vidya Bharati Akhil Bharatiya Shiksha Sansthan is one of India’s largest educational movements, dedicated to delivering Gunatmak (quality) and Sanskriti-yukt (value-enriched) education. From a modest start in Gorakhpur in 1952, it now operates in 684 districts and runs over 12,118 schools.
Many of these schools are located in the country’s most remote and underserved regions, including tribal belts and border districts. In 127 border districts, Vidya Bharati has established 211 schools across 167 blocks. It also runs over 8,000 non-formal education centers serving marginalized communities.
Currently, more than 3.5 million students are enrolled in Vidya Bharati institutions, guided by over 153,000 dedicated teachers.
A Global Alumni Network
Vidya Bharati boasts the world’s largest alumni organization, with over 1 million registered alumni spread across 87 countries. These individuals serve in various sectors while carrying forward the values of service, culture, and integrity they learned in school.
