At the Shaurya Yatra organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal, speaker Sohan Singh Solanki delivered an inflammatory speech filled with anti-Muslim rhetoric. He demonized Muslims as terrorists, stating, “When they are in the minority, they make idols; alleged when they become the majority, they destroy our idols.” Solanki also instilled fear about the presence of Bangladeshis and Rohingyas in Haridwar and falsely claimed that the caste system, untouchability, and wedding processions were created out of fear of Muslims. Referring to Muslims as “pigs,” he spread the conspiracy of ‘land jihad,’ labeling them as enemies who “target women, kill cows, and seize land.”
