They claimed that if BJP candidate Madan Joshi did not become chairman, the town of Ramnagar would turn into “Rehmatnagar.” The speakers also peddled conspiracy theories such as “love jihad” and “land jihad,” while referring to the town’s Muslim residents as “jihadis.”
