Hindu nationalist Rakesh Gupta peddled conspiracy theory of “love jihad” during a protest rally. He alleged that scrap collectors in the area were Rohingyas and Bangladeshis falsely claiming to be from Bengal. The rally was organised in response to a Muslim man’s demand to stop the temple loudspeaker playing bhajans.
