At a Hindu Dharma Sabha organized by Sakal Hindu Samaj, BJP MLA Nitesh Rane delivered a speech targeting Muslims, calling them “green snakes” and declaring, “There will be no more encroachments. You can’t just build a mosque anywhere there is a kabristan.” He also told Muslims to “go to Pakistan” if they want to follow Sharia law.
Rane encouraged Hindutva supporters not to worry about legal cases against them, assuring them that he would handle them and urging them to take action against encroachments themselves. He further stated, “We will not tolerate encroachments on our forts. Where you spread the green shrouds, we will not tolerate this.”
He issued veiled threats against public officials, warning that they would have to “choose between biryani and their posts.” Rane also called Muslims “insects” and mocked a recent gathering in Kharghar, saying, “It was like all the insects had come together.” He referred to an alleged speech by an unnamed Muslim leader, accusing him of inciting violence against Hindus, and declared, “This is Hindu Rashtra; go do all this in your Pakistan and Bangladesh.”
