Days after Karnataka’s IT-BT and Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge demanded a ban on the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and its activities on government properties, he has been “receiving threat calls” and on Wednesday posted a video on X in which a man can be heard abusing the minister in harsh and derogatory language.
Calling the clip a sample of the threatening and abusive calls he has been receiving, Kharge said the video “is a small example of the kind of filth the RSS is trying to fill in the minds of young people.”
“Is insulting mothers and sisters by calling them names and insulting them in the most despicable way the culture taught at Shakhas? Do BJP leaders like BY Vijayendra, R Ashoka, C T Ravi, Sunil Kumar, Prathap Simha, Chalavadi Narayanaswamy approve of Modi and Mohan Bhagwat’s mothers being abused in this way?” he asked.
Kharge said that while the children of BJP leaders are building bright futures, the children of the poor are being used to abuse and intimidate people in this manner.
He added: “If I file a complaint, the life of that person will be harmed, but no harm will come to those who pushed him into such a state of mind.”
