In Ramnagar, BJP leader Madan Joshi warns of ‘love jihad’ rise, threatens demolitions of accused homes

Location: Ramnagar, Nainital, Uttarakhand

BJP leader Madan Joshi at a Navaratri event peddled the anti-Muslim “love jihad” conspiracy theory. He alleged that underage Hindu girls were becoming victims of “love jihad” and claimed that Muslim men hide their identity to approach girls at coaching centres and colleges. Joshi warned parents to keep a close watch on their daughters, declaring that there is a rise in “love jihad in the form of Ravan.” He further threatened that if anyone was caught in “Devbhoomi” engaging in such activities, their houses would be demolished.
