At a Kanya Pujan, VHP-Bajrang Dal leader Tannu Sharma peddled the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad” in front of young girls, urging them to emulate Kalka Mata and behead “non-Hindu demons.” He likened Muslims to modern-day “demons” who wear skullcaps, do not have mustaches, have long beards, and wear kurta-pyjamas. He made the young girls repeat that these “demons” belong to the “Musalmaan jaat” and urged them never to befriend Muslims or buy from Muslim vendors.
