At a Garba event, VHP-Bajrang Dal leader Tannu Sharma delivered a speech promoting the anti-Muslim conspiracy theory of “love jihad.” He likened Muslim men to Ravana, disguising himself as a saint to abduct Sita, and described Muslims as “jihadis” and “modern-day demons” who infiltrate Garba pandals by posing as brothers or guests to target Hindu women. He urged Hindu girls to retaliate violently and “behead” such men as Kalka Mata did to demons. Sharma warned that if girls remain fearful, they would be abducted, converted, forced to eat beef, or taken to countries like Afghanistan, Syria, and Yemen. He concluded by declaring a collective vow to avoid forming any social or personal relationships with Muslims.
