After a video of Muslims offering namaz at the historic Shaniwarwada site went viral, BJP MP Medha Kulkarni, along with members of Patitpavan Sanghatana and other Hindu groups, staged a protest, calling the act an “insult” and demanding the removal of the dargah board from the site. During the protest, activists sprinkled cow urine to “purify” the area, while Kulkarni offered prayers to Lord Shiva. The groups also demanded criminal charges against those who performed namaz.
