In Delhi, Suresh Chavhanke Warns of ‘Population Threat’ and Urges Hindus to Buy Weapons

Location: Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi

At the Conference on the Life and Philosophy of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya organised by the Vishwa Hindi Parishad and the Indian Council of Philosophical Research, far-right news editor Suresh Chavhanke fearmongered about the alleged declining Hindu population and rising Muslim population. He claimed, “If Hindustan becomes Pakistan, then obviously Hindi won’t survive,” described madrasas as “terror universities,” and urged Hindus to buy weapons for “protection,” citing communal violence in Nagpur as justification.
