At the Cooperative Fair organized on the occasion of International Cooperative Year 2025, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted his government’s measures to maintain the “culture and demographic composition” of the state. He mentioned the implementation of laws against religious conversion, riots, “love jihad,” “land jihad,” and “thook jihad,” and claimed that strict action was being taken against them. He said that action had been taken against “land jihad,” claiming the “freeing” of over 10,000 acres of government land from “land jihadis,” demolition of more than 500 “illegal” shrines and mosques, and closure of around 250 madrasas, which he termed “illegal.” He mentioned the bill to dissolve the madrasa board and referenced the initiative “Operation Kalnemi,” which he described as being against those targeting and harming the “Sanatan Sanskriti.”
