During the winter session of the Maharashtra Assembly, BJP MLA Mahesh Landge fearmongered about alleged “illegal Bangladeshis” residing in the Pune–Pimpri Chinchwad region. He spread the conspiracies of ‘vote jihad’, ‘love jihad’, ‘land jihad’, and ‘cosmetic jihad’, portraying Muslims and migrants as a demographic and political threat.
