At the inauguration of a Shivaji statue, Nationalist Congress Party MLA Sangram Jagtap demonised Muslims, alleged that they are being actively prepared for terrorism, and cited the Delhi blast as an example. He described Muslims as people with the “ideology of Aurangzeb”, stating, “These terrorists are not coming from outside; they live among us as friends—well-educated people with degrees who live in Bharat. They are born here but have the mentality of Aurangzeb.”
