During a Hindu conference organised by Hindu Sammelan Samiti, leader Narendra Thakur claimed that the country’s demography was changing due to “ghuspaith” (infiltration) and what he described as illegal religious conversions to Christianity and Islam. He described “ghuspaith” as the biggest problem, alleging that Bangladeshis and Rohingyas had reached even Ladakh. Urging attendees to remain alert, he said they would not be able to identify who the Bangladeshi was in their villages.
