At a Cooperative Fair marking the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted action against alleged “land jihad,” illegal encroachments, and “illegal” madrasas, including removal of alleged “illegal” structures and measures under Operation Kalnemi against alleged hypocrites. He reiterated the introduction of a bill to dissolve the Madrasa Board, stating that only madrasas following prescribed education board syllabi would be allowed to operate. Dhami claimed that “radical thinking” has become a major threat to humanity, citing violence in Bangladesh, Australia and other countries as outcomes of such “terrorist ideology,” and alleged that while his government acts against it and implements the Uniform Civil Code, the Opposition Congress objects to these measures.
