In Jammu, Togadia Issues War Rhetoric and Threatens Over Shrine Institutions

Location: Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir

Pravin Togadia, founder and president of AHP–Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, alleged that Hindus have existed since the beginning of time, calling them direct descendants of God. He cited what he claimed was a Vedic text, alleging the “enemy in Kalyug” will come from Afghanistan, Iraq, Arabistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan. He claimed war against Hindu started, where in earlier yugas it was against Demons. He asserts that the “offspring of Mughals” are not alive anymore. He demanded justice and called for the “heads of those who kill us.” He cited the example of Palestine’s attack on Israel, where he claimed 3,000 people were killed, noting that Palestine was subsequently turned into desolate ruins and graveyard. He argues that since Hindus provide the money for the Vaishno Devi shrine, it is unacceptable for the medical college to grant admission to 42 Muslims. He claims that “terrorists” can enter at any time and questions why the government is refusing to renew the gun licenses of local Hindus. He glorified the removal of “symbols of Babur” from India. He boasted of issuing threats of violence against anyone who opposed the Ram Mandir construction, saying that they had declared, “we will step on their chest, crush the enemies and build the temple.” He asserted to maintain the “Hindu majority” through law and force. He fearmongered the declining Hindu population, claiming wherever they have declined, they have been killed. He declared that they would maintain a “Hindu majority” through law or by force. He demanded a population control law and the expulsion of what he termed “3 crore Bangladeshis Rohingya.” He urged Hindus to buy from and employ only Hindus. He further asserted that Hindus would be “the ones to beat and win.” He called for the establishment of Hanuman Chalisa centers to counter Friday prayers, calling it an action plan to win the upcoming war.
