In Jammu, Togadia Urges Hindus to Stop Temple Donations and Deport Muslims

Location: Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir

Pravin Togadia, founder and president of AHP–Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, glorified the demolition of the Babri mosque and boasted about issuing threats of violence against those who opposed the construction of the Ram Mandir. He also opposed the admission of Muslim students to the Mata Vaishno Devi Trust Medical College and urged Hindus not to donate to the temple, claiming that Hindu money was being spent on educating Muslims. He fearmongered over an alleged decline in the Hindu population. He made attendees take an oath that Hindu society and the “Hindu Rashtra” were created by God and have existed since creation. He declared that a Hindu majority would be maintained through “law or by force.” He demanded the deportation of what he termed “3 crore Bangladeshis” living in India and promoted weekly Hanuman Chalisa centres as an alternative to Friday Namaz.
