At a Hindu Sammelan organised by Rashtriya Hindu Sher Sena, its president Vikas Chaturvedi issued threats against Muslims, whom he referred to as “jihadis,” declaring that anyone who dared to raise their eyes towards Hindu women would be beheaded. He also warned that if any Hindu was suppressed or their land encroached upon, they would throw out both those living there and those buried. Far-right monk Madhuram Sharan Shiva criticised Hindus for sending their children to Christian missionary schools. He questioned why Muslims were prospering in business in the district and why the number of mazars was increasing, claiming they were working to pollute the earth. He termed Hindus who buy from those he called “adharmis” as traitors and declared that to eliminate “adharm,” “adharmis” must be eliminated, asserting that war was the only solution. He urged Hindus to arm themselves. The event also screened a video claiming that the organisation had “rescued” several women from alleged “love jihad”, and converted and married 65 Muslim women to Hindu men.
