In Moradabad, Togadia Glorifies Babri Demolition and Invokes ‘Massacre’ Rhetoric

Location: Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh

Pravin Togadia, founder and president of AHP–Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, glorified the demolition of the Babri Masjid and boasted of issuing threats of violence against anyone who opposed the Ram Mandir construction. He praised the karseva movement, portraying it as a unifying Hindu effort for a “dharm yudh” aimed at erasing enemies. He further contended that November 9 was chosen, based on the Hindu calendar, not for peaceful negotiation but for a “war” and “massacre” inspired by the Mahabharata. He claimed they are not negotiators who compromise, but warriors who achieve victory by “killing enemies” and “wearing garlands of their skulls” while dancing in triumph. He asserted that a “Hindu majority” would be maintained through “law and force.” He demanded a population control law and the expulsion of those he termed “3 crore Bangladeshis.” He urged Hindus to buy from and employ only Hindus. He further asserted that Hindus would be “the ones to beat and win.” He further compared Muslims to “snakes,” claiming that when Hindus gather for the Hanuman Chalisa, “snakes will die,” and it would counter the Friday prayers. He claimed Hindus have left Europe, Arabstan, Afghanistan, and Kashmir; now they will not give even an inch of land, claiming they will beat and step on their enemies’ chests through Hanuman Chalisa.
