Cow vigilantes affiliated with Gau Raksha Dal Rudrapur staged a protest and issued direct threats of violence against Muslims whom they accused of cattle slaughter, including threats to burn homes and commit murder. They declared that if the accused were not arrested, they would enter their homes, cut them, and “play Holi with their blood.” They also raised several slogans using derogatory slurs and issued calls for violence.
