Pravin Togadia, founder and president of AHP–Rashtriya Bajrang Dal, glorified the demolition of the Babri mosque and boasted of threatening violence against opponents of the Ram Mandir, declaring, “We will step on their chests, crush the enemies, and build the temple.” He said November 9 was chosen not for negotiation but for a “massacre” inspired by the Mahabharata, and thanked kar sevaks willing to “kill or be killed.” Claiming that only Hindus existed 2,000 years ago, he alleged that wherever Hindus decline, they are killed or converted. He called for maintaining a “Hindu majority” through “law or by force,” demanded a population control law targeting communities he alleged have many children and live on government rations, proposed denial of state benefits and voting rights for non-compliance, and sought the expulsion of those he termed “3 crore Bangladeshis.” He urged Hindus to buy from and employ only Hindus, and asserted that Hindus would be “the ones to beat and win.” He further referred to Muslims as “snakes,” asserting that Hanuman Chalisa gatherings would make “snakes die” and counter Friday prayers.
