During the Hindu Sammelan, far-right monk Mahant Raju Das delivered an anti-Muslim and anti-Christian speech. He peddled anti-Muslim conspiracy theories such as “Love Jihad,” “Thook Jihad,” “Moot Jihad,” and “Land Jihad,” alleging a coordinated effort to convert Hindus. He alleged that when they were not in power, they worried about Hindus, but when in power, they only cared about “Chadar and Father.” He claimed that they plan to increase their population to elect their own to power and fearmongered over the Muslim population. He derogatorily referred to the greeting Inshallah as “Insha-suar (pig).” He attacked Islamic scriptures, alleging they promote violence against “idolaters” and treat women as “machines for consumption and reproduction.” He dismissed the concept of “Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb” (communal harmony), claiming the rivers belong exclusively to Hindu heritage.
