During a Hindu Sammelan, marking the centenary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), far-right monk Madhuram Sharan Shiva, leader of the armed monks’ group Shiva Shakti Akhada, claimed Muslims have set up stalls at festivals owing to less Hindu attendees. He urged Hindus to arm themselves to protect their religion and urged them to form groups during festivals to find and assault “non-Hindus.”
