Pramod Muthalik, Chief of Sri Ram Sene, claimed that “Bangladeshis” were present in the state and accused the police of protecting them, warning that they would soon attack police officers in their homes. He said those who objected to the term “Bangladeshis” were “anti-nationals” and a “cancer,” and asserted that driving them out would ensure Hindu safety. He also accused MLA Zameer Ahmed of obtaining a stay order on the celebration of Ganesh Puja at the Idgah Maidan, alleging an attempt to create what he described as a “Mini Pakistan” and “Mini Bangladesh” in the region. He also targeted madrasas and alleged the presence of “Bangladeshis” and “Rohingyas” in them.
