At a Hindu Rashtra–Jagruti Sabha organised by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, several speakers delivered anti-Muslim speeches. Vinod Shinde and advocate Virendra Ichalkaranjikar promoted conspiracy theories such as “love jihad” and “halal jihad.” Swati Khadye also pushed the conspiracy theory of “love jihad”, claiming that Hindus are under attack through religious conversions and cow slaughter. Prashant Juvekar invoked Kashi and Mathura and called for temples to be built there. Lieutenant Colonel Manoj Kumar Sinha (Retd.) claimed that a “Dharmayudh” (religious war) is underway and compared Muslims to “Kauravas.”
