Sadhvi Saraswati, speaking at a Virat Hindu Sammelan, glorified the demolition of the Babri Masjid, declaring that they had “hoisted saffron on Babur’s chest.” She also referred to the mosques in Mathura and Kashi, stating, “This is only a glimpse; Mathura and Kashi are still remaining,” and asserted that they were not satisfied with the Ram Mandir alone. She further claimed that living in communal harmony with the “children of Babur and Akbar” was not possible, saying she had no relation with those she described as people who “eat my mother cow, disrespect Bharat Mata, do not stand for Jana Gana Mana, do not sing Vande Mataram, and do not chant ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ even at the point of a knife.” She fearmongered over the possibility of Bangladesh-like situation and called on Hindus to arm themselves while remaining religious.
