Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address, targeted those he referred to as “ghuspaithiya” (infiltrators). He claimed that while developed countries deport “illegal citizens,” in India even courts are being pressured to protect “ghuspaithiyas.” He further alleged that “infiltrators” are stealing the rights of the country’s youth, taking away their livelihoods, and grabbing the land of Adivasis.
