Far-right monk Madhuram Sharan Shiva, leader of the armed monks’ group Shiva Shakti Akhada, delivered a speech urging Hindus to arm themselves. He asserted that the Hindu Rashtra was created by God and alleged a global conspiracy to destroy Hindus. He called for Dashrath-like fathers who would instruct their sons to “pick up arms and behead jihadis.” He alleged that multiple forces are working to weaken Hindus and criticised them for worshipping Ram and Krishna without following their teachings to take up arms and fight for dharma. Citing historical Hindu figures, he urged mothers to raise sons prepared to fight. He warned that cowardice would lead to the burning of the Ramayana and Gita, and asserted that only the survival of Hindus could ensure the survival of the earth.
