At a Sakal Hindu Sammelan, Bhante Sanghpriya Rahul, National President of the Bharatiya Baudh Sangh and Member of the Hindi Advisory Committee, Ministry of Home Affairs, delivered an anti-Muslim speech alleging that historical Muslim rulers destroyed temples to build mosques and defending present-day temple “reclamation” and “ghar wapsi” of those he claimed were converted at swordpoint. He warned that those attempting to create “Ghazwa-e-Hind” would have to “choose the path of Pakistan or Bangladesh,” and called for an economic boycott of “miyas” so they are not “strengthened,” and alleged Muslims use such strength to target Hindu women. Citing Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s remarks on Partition, he declared that “Hindus have awakened.” He warned that if Muslims have tools to slaughter goats, Hindus have tools for “pigs” and “skinning hides,” signalling readiness for violent confrontation.
