Hindu nationalists, including members of Hindu Raksha Dal, assaulted a Muslim man on allegations that he had used a Hindu name while showing paying-guest accommodation to a woman and made inappropriate remarks, which he denied. The assailants also threatened police action against those who came out in support of the assault victim.
