In Haridwar, Chanchal Bhardwaj Harasses Muslim Vendor and Claims Muslims Are Banned

Location: Kankhal, Haridwar, Uttarakhand

Chanchal Bhardwaj, a self-proclaimed member of the Bajrang Dal and the Rashtriya Mahakal Sena, harassed a Muslim street vendor over his religious identity, declaring that Muslims were banned from entering the area. He demanded the vendor’s Aadhaar card, questioned his presence there, and accused him of disguising himself to commit wrongdoing. Police later arrested Bhardwaj under Section 151 for breach of peace.
