BJP leader and Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, speaking at a party election rally, targeted those he described as “Bangladeshi” and “Rohingya” Muslims. Invoking the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), he urged Bangladeshi Hindus to apply for citizenship and declared that not a single “Bangladeshi Muslim” would be allowed to be included in the voter list.
