Communal Tension Erupts at Metro Shoe Showroom as Hindutva Activists Target Muslim Workers.

By Muslim Mirror Desk

A tense incident unfolded at the prominent Metro shoe showroom in Dehradun when a large group of Hindutva supporters entered the store and targeted Muslim workers, labelling them “jihadis.”

The group accused the employees of stealing products and deliberately cheating customers. They claimed the Muslim staff members were concealing their religious identity by not displaying their names on nameplates, allegedly to mislead Hindu buyers.

In a provocative move, the protesters pasted slips marked “jihadis” on the employees’ nameplates.

Eyewitnesses described the situation as heated, with the activists raising slogans and questioning the showroom’s hiring practices. The confrontation reportedly disrupted normal business operations for some time.

Dehradun Police could not be reached for immediate comments on the matter. No formal complaints or arrests have been confirmed so far.

The incident highlights growing sensitivities around religious identity and customer trust in retail spaces.
