A shocking case has emerged from Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district, where a Hindu right-wing leader has been accused of conspiring to falsely implicate two Muslim youths in a “love jihad” and gangrape case.
The incident took place on Saturday in Meerut’s Jagriti Vihar Extension area, where some people linked to the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) stopped a car carrying two Muslim youths and a young woman. The youths, identified as Jishan and Shahvez, were accused of taking a Hindu woman with them under suspicious circumstances.
Following the complaint, police reached the spot and took all three individuals to the police station for questioning.
Police Probe Reveals Alleged Conspiracy
However, after nearly five hours of investigation, the case reportedly took a dramatic turn.
According to police, the woman later revealed that the entire incident had allegedly been planned by Nakul Gurjar, who is said to have links with the VHP.
The woman, identified as Bhawna, a resident of Syana in Bulandshahr, told police that she had known Nakul for around one and a half years.
