Nesha Oraon, an IRS officer and Additional Commissioner of Income Tax (OSD), speaking at a Hindu Sammelan organised by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), described “Bangladeshi ghuspaith” (infiltration) as a serious issue, and claimed that “cultural ghuspaith” poses an even greater threat. She also targeted those who have allegedly converted to other faiths, comparing these faiths to “salts” that destroy the “tree of Sanatan.” She asserted that this “tree” must be protected and characterised religious conversions as an “encroachment on identity.”
