During a Virat Hindu Sammelan, T. Raja Singh, former Bharatiya Janata Party MLA, delivered an anti-Muslim hate speech in which he called for the demolition of Aurangzeb’s grave, used anti-Muslim slurs such as “landa” and “katua,” advocated violent cow vigilantism against butchers, and spread the conspiracy theories of “love jihad” and “land jihad.” He also fearmongered about Muslim population growth and supported the idea of a Hindu Rashtra.
At the same event, Gopichand Padalkar, Bharatiya Janata Party MLA, claimed Christians convert Hindus through inducements, targeted Muslims over population growth, and spread the conspiracy theories of “love jihad,” “land jihad,” and “vote jihad.”
Also speaking at the event, Milind Ekbote, president of Samast Hindu Aghadi, claimed Muslims destroyed multiple places of worship, glorified the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and the demolition of the Babri Masjid, and described it as the beginning of a “Hindu revolution.”
