In Haldia, PM Modi Targets ‘Infiltrators’ and Religious Reservations

Location: Haldia, Medinipur, West Bengal

During an election campaign rally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi targeted those he referred to as “ghuspaithiya” (infiltrators), claiming that under the TMC, they have been the primary beneficiaries of governance. He alleged that governance has enabled fake documentation networks and animal smuggling, and that limited private sector job opportunities have been taken by “ghuspaithiya.” He accused the TMC of granting reservations on the basis of religion to appease its vote bank. He asserted that refugees would be given rights in accordance with the Constitution, but that all “ghuspaithiya” would be removed and not allowed to remain in India.
