In Jalgaon, Dhananjay Desai Demonises Muslims and Christians as Threats to India

Location: Parola, Jalgaon, Maharashtra

At a Hindu Sammelan organised by Sakal Hindu Samaj, Dhananjay Desai, President of Hindu Rashtra Sena, demonised Muslims and Christians, claiming that Muslims are trained in madrasas to carry out terror attacks and “ghazwa-e-hind,” and alleging that Christian missionaries deceive Hindus into conversion. He called Muslims and Christians “malechha” who must be removed from the country, described Hindutva as a “vaccine” and “chemotherapy” against the “Islamisation” of India, and invoked V.D. Savarkar’s idea of who constitutes a true “Indian,” excluding Muslims and Christians. He also demonised Rohingya Muslims, praised Buddhist supremacists in Myanmar for “dealing with” them, lauded Ashin Wirathu for “fighting” Rohingyas, and portrayed them as illegal infiltrators facilitated by madrasas.
