During a public seminar, Sunil Ambekar, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), delivered a speech framing “ghuspaith” (infiltration) and religious conversion as threats. He claimed that while worship of multiple deities within India is acceptable, conversions carried out through inducement or coercion in the name of “outside” religions would not be tolerated by an “awakened Hindu society.” He called for educational institutions to prioritise the history of “Hindu heroes” over that of “invaders” and to replace foreign knowledge with “Indian” knowledge. He further framed Hindu-Muslim relations as an inherent and longstanding conflict, stating that the issue is not between the RSS and Muslims but between Hindus and Muslims, and invoked historical grievances, including the destruction of Nalanda, alleged temple demolitions in Kashi and Ayodhya, and Partition, to argue that such tensions predate the RSS.
