At a Virat Hindu Sammelan organised by Sakal Hindu Samaj, Kalicharan Maharaj, a far-right monk, praised Nathuram Godse for assassinating Mahatma Gandhi, demonised Muslims, referred to them as “deshdrohis,” falsely claimed Muslims were responsible for terrorism and temple destruction, spread conspiracies including “UPSC jihad,” “spit jihad,” “urine jihad,” and “train jihad,” called for an economic boycott of Muslims, and urged Hindus not to rent or sell property to Muslims.
