In Lucknow, a school van carrying children was allegedly attacked and vandalised by men said to be part of the Kanwar Yatra.

Videos circulating on social media show a group of men surrounding the vehicle and

it.

Parents of children travelling in the van alleged that the vehicle was attacked with stones. Locals also protested against the alleged vandalism.

In the video now

on social media sites, parents could be heard saying, “We are also Hindus. It doesn’t mean we will harass others.”

However, the Lucknow police have denied the claims that children were hurt.

Responding to the circulated videos on X, Lucknow police said, “Upon receiving the information, the Thana Chauk police immediately reached the scene. There is no report of any child being injured in the incident. Based on CCTV footage and other evidence, the identification of the concerned individuals is being done, and necessary legal action is being taken as per the rules.”
