Hindu nationalist supporter Kishan Pathak and his associates harassed Muslim biryani vendors and demanded that they shut down their businesses. He demanded to see their licences and ordered some vendors to remove their stalls, citing the presence of a nearby temple. He asserted that mutton and chicken products should not be sold in the vicinity of the temple.
