At the inauguration of a library, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami highlighted measures to preserve the state’s “demographic and cultural composition,” and asserted implementation of anti-conversion measures. He claimed action against alleged “encroachment” had “freed” over 12,000 acres of government land and demolished over 550 alleged “illegal” structures. He issued directives against religious gatherings on public roads, stating that such activities must be held only at designated places and not allowed to obstruct traffic or public order. He also referred to “Operation Kalnemi,” the dissolution of the Madrasa Board, and claimed closure of over 250 alleged “illegal” madrasas. He accused the Opposition of disrupting the demography due to appeasement and vote-bank politics, and stated that action was being taken against “ghuspaith” and “pakhandi” (hypocrites) individuals involved in religious conversion.
